International

The AFT.IFTIM Group is developing a co-operation strategy to:

  • Promote the  development of transport and logistics training
  • Take an active part in European transport policy and exert a positive influence on the development of European legislation
  • Encourage active contacts with our European and international counterparts – jointly developing training programmes and products, carrying out studies and experiments in common, organising exchanges of know-how and technical assistance
  • Develop partnerships for tendering to the EU in transnational bids
  • Offer pedagogical and technical assistance to new member states of the EU, help with the transfer of community acquis to candidate countries together with administrative consolidation (integration of European regulations and directives into national legislation, building administrative capacity to enable effective operation of the legislation)

  

Our Actions

Building professional networks

  • Sharing know-how with European partners
  • Joint production of the tools which the sector needs

E.g. The Eurotra Network

  • Development of links between the varous specialised European organisations in transport and logistics training
  • Collation of training programmes and development of standards in training
  • Cooperation in sharing training programmes and teaching aids within Europe (joint participation in community projects, development of training programmes, development of new technologies, organisation of professional seminars)
  • Construction of a European information network about training in the transport and logistics sector

Take part in European projects funded by the European Union

  • Complete our expertise, working in liaison with our national partners (the employers’ federations and labour organisations in the transport and logistics sector) – studies for the European Union and for a non-member country, for example
  • Encourage the dissemination of our know-how
  • Consolidate our position as a strong player in the European transport and logistics field
  • Prepare our European future
